Master reborn go in 5-6 connected hits (but is harder to hit due to higher saber block skills) Originally basic Reborn goes down in 3-4 well placed hits if they bypass his block. On 2 which most people suggest, it does considerable amount of damage on contact, and results in instakill+dismemberment if it connects with the joint (and there are a lot of joints on humanoid enemies), making fights with enemy jedi pretty much a cakewalk.ģ makes it do significant damage even when you don't swing it, so you can simply have it out and just run into enemy to slice them apart. On 1 it doesen't do much damage on contact, but that still results in ~double damage during swings. Realistic saber makes it so saber continuously does damage every moment it's in contact with the target. Once you get into game and start up a save it should work if it doesn't open console by using shift + tilde (the key to the left of one on the left side of the keyboard) and type this in /exec autoexec.cfg and it should work. G_dismember //disable/enable dismembermentĬg_dismember //how much can get sliced offĠ (nothing), 1 (hands, feet, arms, legs), 2 (hands, feet, arms, legs, head, torso)Īfter you pasted the strings edit the values and click the purple save floppy at the top left in wordpad. G_dismemberprobabilities //how likely dismemberment is to happenĠ to 100 (the number being the chance in percentage) G_dismemberment //how much can get sliced offĠ (nothing), 1 (hands, feet), 2 (hands, feet, arms, legs), 3 (hands, feet, arms, legs, head, torso) G_saberrealisticcombat //sharpness of lightsaber bladeĠ (normal), 1 (higher damage), 2 (cuts parts off when damage is fatal), 3 (even touching the blade kills instantly) Here is a guide to what these do change the numbers inside the " " to what ever you wish but it needs to be in that order. rtf file but when editing the name of the file name it "autoexec.cfg" (without " " ) Once it is saved there open the file up again and copy then paste this inside of it Once you find them open wordpad (not notepad) and click the blue button titled "File" click save as "Rich text doc" then direct the save window to the "base" folder. Do not edit these configs because it will just revert. Now you should see two “.exe” files one titled "jk2sp.exe" and "jk2mp.exe" (for JK2) or "jasp.exe" and "jamp.exe" (for JKA) Once you find them there should be a folder titled "Base" in gamedata open that up and find files titled "jaconfig.cfg" for sp and "jampconfig.cfg" for MP. Navigate to base folder but first to get to your “gamedata” folder in JK2 and JKA you must go to your steam library, right click Jedi outcast or Jedi academy, then click properties (located in the context menu), now click the tab titled “Local Files” and then click the box titled "browse local files." If you followed these steps correctly you should see a folder pop up titled "Jedi Outcast" or "Jedi Academy" inside that folder there should be another folder titled "Gamedata" open that by selecting the folder and double clicking or select the folder and press enter key. Someone gave a detailed answer I will copy out here so that no one need dig for it. However I'd like to find a mod/option that would allow frequent and complete dismemberment of opponents, but only on their death - without making the saber even more overpowered than it already is. Now I know this is how sabers supposed to work, hence "realistic", but this also breaks the game's balance even further, turning what's supposed to be climactic encounters into 3-second done-and-forgotten bouts.Īnd due to popularity of "g_saberMoreRealistic" option there does not seem to be any alternatives made. The problem I have with this approach is that realistic saber option makes the saber combat way too easy, and the NPCs, even those who are supposed to be masters of saber combat, go down with a single well placed (or just lucky) swing of a saber.
Absolute 100% of the time requests for proper dismemberment in Jedi Academy/Jedi Outcast results in something along the lines of "just enable g_saberMoreRealistic lmao".
